Driving has been pretty slippery all week.  When it is cold like this, traffic on the roads actually makes the surface more slippy.  It has been snowing pretty steadily,  although lightly, since yesterday morning.  Schools in town are closed today I guess because more is expected to fall.  Here on the west side of Cleveland we maybe have a foot of

Since this is my first full winter in 23 years, I have to say I am enjoying the beauty and trying not to obsess about where I might otherwise be. I was thinking the other day when someone said she thought of me as a saint because of what I am doing. I don't see myself that way. I see what I am doing as something that needs to be done and I am the one available to do it. It is a hard job, probably unappreciated by the person I am doing it for. It is not worth it to feel self righteous about what I am doing, but it is also not worth it to feel burdened. I am doing what I need to do where I need to do it. Accepting what happens to the weather in NE Ohio is part of staying sane. It was lovely this morning while I was walking the dog.
