I've been waiting and wanting some word from M. Yesterday it came. Stilted and a bit uncomfortable. He said his purpose was to get back in touch and tell me he and D got engaged and will be wed on Good Friday. And he invited Dunk & I to attend

The ups and downs are enough to make anyone's stomach and head ache. Just when you think you have a handle on what is going on there is another funny dip that drops things to the bottom again or raises them higher then you expect. I totally understand your feelings of confusion. I suppose the hardest part is going to be to put a good face on and be supportive. It is just interesting to me that after all this time they are taking this step. Wish you had a little spy mouse in their house to report all that is going on to you. I suppose there is also worry deep down inside about how Dunk will handle it all. Just breathe, and enjoy seeing those grandkids.
