I guess at this time in your life, your dad and Andrew are going to have some issues talking to each other just because their positions in your life are changing. They both want to be the main man in your life, secure their position in your future.

And now that I, your younger peer, have addressed this issue with all my wisdom and infinite intellect on the subject of men and growth (knowing little to nothing of either), I hope you won't let it stop you from sharing these things with your family in the future. It may seem to have done more harm that good, but I know God can use that as a stepping stone to that new relationship you want.

So take time, wrap it in prayer, add a dollop of patience and love, look at some pictures of you when you were two, and help your parents see beyond the daughter to the sister.
