Alors, je viens de rentrer chez moi and I have no idea why I'm talking French. Maybe it's to try and make me feel better about how BAD my oral exams went. Shockingly not good. Don't worry Josh- they know people are nervous, Im sure you did well. If it makes you feel any better- this afternoon, there were at least 3 people who didn't show up, and in one of my friends' groups there was a girl who had prepared this huge speech, and two others who couldn't pronounce anything! You're much better than you think- trust God- and I know you'll do fantastically in all your other exams. Reste heureux et calme mon ami.:)

what's wrong with preparing a whole speech? isn't that the right thing to do?

Nope- the point is to see how fluent we've become, and able to think on your feet. If you prepare a whole speech, for all they know, your teacher could have prepared it. Some people do it anyway, but it's usually kind of obvious.

Oh ok, hmm, yes, that would be a bit obvious. For my Indo oral at uni, I took in heaps of photos of my holiday around Singsapore and the interview lady got so interested in them that she forgot to ask me questions and stuff. Hehe.
