It may not be nice, but at the same time if you're in your mid 30s hanging out in a campus bar trying to act like you're still in college (and failing miserably, at that) then you've waived all rights to tact and courtesy you may have had. :-p

Pfft...Didn't you get the memo? Being 30 is the new 20. Punk-ass college kids. =P

Although clipping your phone, or any other electronic gizmo, to your belt as an "accessory" is just wrong.
