Warcraft : Orcs and Humans was the first game I played on a Windows PC. I guess it's over now.

I've said it many times and I mean it. A Warcraft MMO is the only one that could ever capture or hold my attention. I will never EVER play another MMO again.

I know people will mock me for this, but I know so much about the lore and the world and I loved it so much. I am genuinely in mourning.

In the past, new expansions meant new areas. First a new world, now a new continent. The original experience remained unchanged and I could roll a new character and experience that at any time. As part of this new expansion they are flooding the original world, destroying areas, changing others, abandoning the current game progression. I care deeply about the lore, my one and only max level character has achieved the title of LoreMaster for doing something like 90% of the quests in the game ( ... )

Ah. If they in fact throw out all of the older content that people are still paying them to experience, they're idiots.

I care about the integrity of all of Azeroth. It's the feel more than the location. Can you argue that every area of that game (save for Winterspring maybe which kind of sucks, and Hinterlands on the Horde side) has it's own unique feel? Now they are wrapping that all up in to the feel of an expansion, and bleeeeech.

The image of a huge wall blocking the path down in to Mulgore was enough for me. Mulgore was one of those places that just felt like home. I'd get off my mount to walk through Mulgore and enjoy how beautiful it was.
