I notice how people really have a soft spot in their heart for the first few games they ever played. However with a lot of people, said games were real popular titles or things that got a LOT of attention.

That said, i take a LOT of pride in the fact that this was my second or so game i ever played. in my life. hard as hell, little red jet, a very special place in my heart, no purple laser in 1

Yep. The TG16 version was the ONLY good home version of Raiden as far as i'm concerned. =) I've played all the others and constantly thought "man. this is dumbed down. too easy."

Nicely done! Dig Dug was my first, and a few like Oregon Trail. It also helped my gamer cred to have a big brother buying all sorts of SNES gems, like Earthbound.

(Desert Island Top 6)
Tribes - Fallout - Dig Dug - Animal Crossing - Warcraft - Earthbound

I don't have a soft spot for mario brothers or duck hunt = /
I guess because those aren't the ones that really got me into gaming.

I never really stopped to notice, but its obvious once pointed out. 2 games in my top 5? Descent, and Tyrian. Both of which are some of the first PC games I'd ever played. Descent definatly has its own following (and rightfully so IMO :)), though I don't see too many people raving about Tyrian. Oh well.
