i think it would be ideal to assume that we are metaphysically all together "One", but it is not until post-death do we realize this, or come to terms with it.

in Earth life we are not connected, and are all independent, which as result yields the variety of culture we see today. but this is what makes the sum of us (the One) ultimately interesting. perhaps life after death, in the presence of a romantic Creator, is where we all converge into one huge heavenly body of energy (or something) and taken into account is the independent Earth experience we had all been exposed to.

like maybe the highest consciousness in the universe is the sum total of all human/whatever else consciousness.
