"There will one day spring from the mind of science a machine or force so fearful in it's potentialities, so absolutely terrifying, that even man, the fighter, who will dare torture and death in order to inflict torture and death, will be appaled. And so, will abandon war forever."
- Thomas A. Edison

I think so, but only in isolated cases. In cases of, for instance, the vietnam war, and as my friend hyalus suggested, the nuke, these forces have indeed turned a great many people from war forever. But one day, I still believe a machine or creation will indeed cause us to lose all taste for war on a world wide scale. If not out of fear and disgust, then it will come from the fact that we'd made something that could not be beaten. I personally hope for the first instance, rather than the latter. Who knows...Nobody. We will simply have to wait and see. I would like to post more of a reply but I am at the whim of this computer's owner. Perhaps we could discuss it another time. And thank you very much for the comment, as short as it may be it's the only non-hyalus anima comment I've had in a long time. SO...I bid you good day.

you know, thats nice sounding and all, but if the invention of nukes didn't do it, its never gonna happen.
and assuming peace was achieved through power, it would only last a relatively short period, until a bypass was discovered and implemented
say....a plasma grenade to the skull?
