Hope you folks haven't forgotten about this one. Bet you're wondering what took so long. And you may not figure it out after you read this chapter. Wonderful update, oh so well worth the wait! I love that the purely human evil is just as threatening to them right now as any supernatural danger. (Not all badness comes in the form of demons!) Hope you get a chance to update soon.

Excellent chapter. I've been watching for this one. Xander knew he was getting into KC's space and did it anyway, good for him. But who's this watcher and who's the 'large figure'. Thank you.

The slow build is importand to me (but it drives me a little crazy sometimes - thank goodness for stories like your's when I need my sex fix!).

Hooray!!! An update!!! Wonder about the Watcher, and the big shadow - the demon????? And what kind of mischief and mayhem is CK going to start? This chapter raises more questions and potential problems than it answers or solves,but the one it does solve- Xander & Spike finding a level of unconflicted comfort in and with each other - was good to see.
