I like this, but it took me a moment to realise what it was that got me. Then I read it again and it jumped out at me - There was a time, during my adolescence, when the thought of wearing a tailored pressed suit, like my father had done every day of his life, would have been beyond ludicrous. There. That. That thought, coming from the Ianto we see on the screen. That captures his trauma, his reinvention of himself, but only in the company of the rest.

Lot of impact for a piece so small, loved it. I especially like the imagery of Ianto putting on more layers to keep himself together. The thought of 'if I can keep all the pieces on the outside together, the ones on the inside will stay put as well' seems very PostLisa!Ianto to me. Nice.
