Yes, I'm hoping to apply for a job that will begin once I have finished this one.

It's a semi-paid/semi-volunteer ESL teaching job and is pretty competitive. The resume needs to be perfect to get them to notice me :)

Upon reading your post I also realized that I have only updated my resume once in the last almost 4 years (for when I was applying for a job internally at my work), and that the resume I have I actually had done for me by Jody, from Mayfair (when she was pretending to be my life-coach).

There are a billion resume templates online, though, so goodluck :)

Oh, I know, I did a quick search and was like "uhhhhhggghh" and figured I'd be better off getting personal suggestions first.

Found this that may be useful. Never actually used something online other than pointers for a cover letter. I practically revamp it every year, not because I want to, but because I need to.

If you need any suggestions or such, let me know.

My position at work over the last two years has evolved into the Human Resources Manager and in order to master this facet of it i have been spending numerous hours researching, reading, and studying all aspects of careers, HR, interviewing, resumes (writing and evaluating), etc ad nauseum and hands down the very best website and career aide i have found is careerbuilder.ca. Lots of information and direction available there for what you will need.

For everything else i have read and viewed on line it is the one site i always refer people to (job applicants, people looking to become involved in HR, etc) and think it would be of great assistance.

Once you have something drafted, if you want me to review it,look it over, etc, send it on and i am happy to help to whatever degree you want and feel comfortable with.

Love Mom
