I dreamed that I was visiting an island, and staying in a tiny B&B. I went out for a walk but it was raining and there was lightning and then the lightning and the rainclouds were moving independently along the telegraph wires as though they were using it as a rail. I waited for them to catch up to one another and go past, then went back to the B&B.
I needed to get to another part of the island, so I walked across the fields and found another hotel. They advised me on which card to use to get charged least in currency conversion charges. The cost was 220 of whatever the currency was. I unpacked all my stuff - laptop and printer and camera and lounger and all sorts that I had in my bag.
There were three guys approaching the front door from their car out front, but they were being sneaky. They were known to me, a local gang of some kind. I packed some essentials into my bag and waited for them all to come in the back before I ran out the front and took their car. They got my camera and a laptop, which wasn't too bad a trade.
I picked up
lis0r on my travels and we ended up at a warehouse, or somewhere else with a large roof. I was looking for an old computer but the thing we ended up finding was a giant computer on many boards, big as a small house. Parts of it were not fully connected. I tried to work out the laser ticker for the disk drive, but there were too many places it could plug in. Other boards looked important, but they had no manuals. Parts of the system ended up being a shop from the 70s with all the old products in (but not out of date). People were shopping there, intrigued. It was in the upstairs of the computer. Downstairs again, we looked for more instructions, but only found historical information. Outside, I found where the entrance to the computer would have been. We went through and I woke up.
It was actually quite cool in the end.
