...had love, man."
I hate when this jackass has a point.
"Yeah, well...shut up."
He smiles that usual smile, that almost cocky, charming, bastard smile. "It's just sad, is all. Seriously, I don't see why you can never close the deal."
I start to pull my hand out of my pockets, debating if drama or survival rank higher in my book. Drama wins over as I point at him, narrowing my eyes slightly. "Two points. One: It's not a business transaction. Two: Shut up."
"I'm just sayin', man, that you seem to get close each time, but something ends up snatchin' it away."
"Oh, really?" Survival actually makes more sense and I put the loaded finger away. "I haven't noticed that I happen to be the worlds largest tool."
He wraps his arm around my shoulder. In a way, he's talking down to me, but I'm used to it. Really, it's not even talking down so much as pretending to be around a block that doesn't exist. "It's a shame, too. I mean, hell, even Hitler had a love. And last time I checked, you're at least as nice and handsome. Well, at -least- as nice."
"...shut up."
Eh, quick, not sure I like it, but I've had one of those lines in my head for a while and needed to unload it.
