I am phone-ed! It turns out that the phone I thought needed a SIM card didn't actually *need* one, just thought they were acceptable. Thanks for all the offers, though.

Now I'm packing for the trip to South Africa next week. Eep! So, yet more favors being asked - does anyone own a pair of binoculars we could borrow?

Okay, so it turns out that the water damage finally caught up with my old phone - RIP, Little Black Book. I'm stalling for time before getting a new phone for various reasons. Does anyone have an old Verizon compatible phone I could use in the meanwhile? We have one phone without a sim card and one without a charger here - so close and yet so
