I have swine flu a cold. I sneezed on the bus and everyone looked at me as if I'd shouted Allahu Akbar and reached for my belt...

In other news my fiancee and all her colleagues have to wear surgical masks to work and can't tell each other apart. My father and his colleagues received a box of masks from head office in Tokyo.

My grandparents live down the road from the Monklands Hospital, where the first two UK cases were treated. My mum happened to have returned from a visit a couple of days before the UK cases hit the news, and has been amusing herself by sharing this information with people in the playground and watching them run from her.

I love your mother. She's a wonderful source of amusing stories. Having said that, if I'd been there I think I'd be doing exactly the same thing!

I love to cough on the train, then pick up a phone, say I work for Southwark schools, and that I really enjoyed my holiday kissing pigs in Mexico. And that my friend is really sick. Yeah.

Incidentally, the kids are going on a trip to farm today, and some parents didn't want them to go, because of swiiiiiiiiiine fluuuu.
