Okay, I promised pics of many different events, so now I am delivering all at once. This means, there's going to be a crap load of pics in this entry.
Julia not 10 minutes after saying yes when I proposed.
And here is a close up of the ring.
Julia and Karlee in our room at Rehoboth. I took them to Rehoboth just after I proposed. We spent 3 days there.
Really cool effect. I took a pic from outside the room of the girls, and I caught my reflection and them, but you can't tell which is which...
The view from our "ocean view" room.
I think Karlee liked the room.
Karlee and I just chillin.
We took a walk on the boardwalk that first night. Karlee loves to ride on the boardwalk. Great sunset in the back.
My girls.
Julia and Karlee ready for her first trip to the beach!
Karlee actually liked standing in the sand, we just think she didn't like the wind in her face that time.
Karlee kept watching the waves, and we kept watching her.
Karlee wanted to drive home.
She's getting close to crawling...
The house we rented at Kitty Hawk in the Outer Banks for a week.
The view from the deck. That's the beach access to the right on the other side of the road.
The first Outer Banks sunset of the summer.
Karlee and I chillin after our long (10 hour) drive.
The beach.
Karlee and Julia cruising the beach.
Julia, Karlee, and Beth.
I love how this picture turned out.
Such a smile-bug. My girls love the shore.
12 pelicans flying by. Julia's grandmom believes they always come to say hello when they go to the outer banks.
Julia and Beth decided to take a dip that evening...in their clothes.
Julia coming back in a few pounds heavier (it's all water weight ;))
A little cold Julia?
Julia decided to Jump on me to get me wet because I didn't want to go into the freezing water. You can make out her outine on my shirt.
And here she is jumping on me.
Do I look like I mind too much?
Praying Mantis attack, what???
I wouldn't leave them alone at the outside shower :D
Julia got me this for father's Day. <3
We have a tent for Karlee to sit in on the beach to keep her out of the sun. Julia couldn't resist testing it out first.
Karlee wanted some company.
If I could have fit in, I would have. God I'm so pale...
My girls enjoying the water (I don't know how because it was SO COLD!)
I'm not always behind the camera...
Hey, I think she likes it!
Group shore shot.
Group mush shot.
Karlee liked climbing all over her Grandmama. And chewing on her face.
Hey, blame her Grandmama and her Great-Grandma for this one...
I'm ready for my closeup!
We climbed the dunes at the Outer banks...
Complete with Karlee riding on my chest the whole way.
Here's the start. We took the easy way to start and walked on the walkway.
But then we had to climb that. And that was just the start.
More dunes.
View behind us (the place we started is obscured by the dunes on the left). That's the ocean behind the houses.
Same idea.
The sand people ariving at the top of the dunes to look at the sound. Notice the sand flying aroudn their feet.
We made it.
Dune family shot.
Yeah, I know. More dunes.
Karlee looks about ready to see something other than sand. It kind of looks like Julia is carying her how she was when she was pregnant. The stance and everything. It's really cute.
Can you tell Karlee loved the aquarium?
Karlee was trying to see the Otters, and Julia was taking her to them. I just got in the way first.
I forget what they were looking at, but Karlee liked them.
A patriotic outfit that turned out to be just too big for her.
We took the ferry to Okracoke.
Karlee and Julia looking out the observation deck windows.
Karlee chilling with me on the Ferry.
She was such a happy baby.
Julia, Beth, their grandparents and I all went crabbing under this bridge.
We didn't do too bad. We caught a few more (by we I mean they) after this shot was taken.
Karlee and Julia doing what they do best...shopping!
Julia trying to coax a crab out of the water...
Cuddle time before bed!
Karlee's first bar trip. Awful Arthurs Oyster Bar.
Karlee's first miniature golf trip
She really liked just hanging around watching us play.
Of course, she got to stare at her mom as often as she wanted. I think it affected Julia's gameplay a bit, but it was too cute to matter.
Julia and Karlee heading down the walkway to the beach on our last day.
Karlee won't stop staring at the water. Great picture though.
The whole gang (sans Karlee, she was sleeping) playing some game Julia's Aunt made. It wasn't bad, even though we lost. I told Julia we should have been the white chips...
Enjoying your fudge Julia?
Karlee and I at the Chesapeake bridge rest stop. She spit up on me minutes later.
Bono baby???
Karlee cuddles like mad at rest stops on long trips. She doesn't cry, she just cuddles when she gets the chance. (God she looks like me in this pic...)
See what I mean? And it's not like she's sad cuddling, she's tired and happy cuddling.
Here are some pictures of the flooding we had to drive through to get home. I'm sure you heard about the flooding in Delaware last week / two weeks ago. The videos are even better than the pics.
This was actually the first pic, and the best looking one overall. The damage in this pic is almost nothing to what came later. The one above this one is the worst.
Bye Bye RV's.
That truck is lucky it didn't park any further up. I don't have the picture of the Blockbuster that was flooded inside and out, but you can get the gist of how bad things were from these pics above. We had to drive through a river going over the highway at one point. I'm just glad I had my 4 wheel drive SUV, as we saw disabled cars all over who hadn't made it through the water.
And...that's it! I'll try to post pictures more often so they don't end up in such large posts, but time is hard to come by.These were some of the best times of my life.
