My first love was my best friend, we dated for 5 years from high school to college. We talked about marriage, the peace corps after college everything. I would have, and did give up everything for him and lucky for me I had the courage to end it, because loving him cost me too much, hurt me too much. I'll never forget him, never forgive him and always remember all the good and bad.

I still think about my first love every single day. I still don't know if losing him was for the best. Sometimes I don't feel like it was, but I am at a distinct disadvantage being able to see the road my life would have taken were we still together. I can only tell you that it would have been vastly, radically different from the way that my life is now.
