I refuse to make a new years resolution.

I ran my first 5k this past weekend at GMU.  Not wanting to be late I got there about an hour early to pick up my race packet and warm up a bit.  There weren't too many people there at first, but when the race started there must have been nearly 600 people registered and ready to go.  There were a large number of dogs there as well which made me ( Read more... )

Thanks so much for the sandwiches last night!! You made the ER much more bearable and everybody was singing your praises!! Heather asked if you were single, but I heard she's crazy - if you want to hook up with a crazy nurse with 2 kids, I can get you the hook up!! :)

Congrats on the run. You look super fit - and I hope to look super fit once I finish this whole baby weight thing too!!

It makes me happy to know that the food was appreciated. I wasn't entirely sure what kind of food to make so I settled on a smaller style of sandwich. Easy to eat in a hurry and they aren't messy so you wouldn't walk into an exam room with food on your hands.

A crazy nurse eh? That isn't much of a sell. =P To be honest though, I've been in a very social mood so I wouldn't mind hearing a little more about her. Actually, I do have another question. What does a single mom do with her kids when she works the night shift? Is there a daycare or something at the hospital that is open 24 hours?

Thank you for the compliment! I've lost enough weight that I can now see the difference in how I look, but it is even better to hear that from other people. =) I feel amazing. I really have never felt this good at any point in my life.

You and Mike should start running again, or keep running if you are right now, and we should plan to do a race or two in the future. That could be a lot of fun!

Are you still in the guard?

Congrats on the race, and on your further training and competition goals. I'll be happy to run ONE 5k this year. ;)

Tomorrow is going to be the day of event registration. I'm now on a quest to find a number of races. It really was a lot of fun. You should try it sometime!

I would definitely like to talk to you about running sometime. I'm not a runner, but would like to start, and would like to run a half marathon sometime this year.

I'm by no means an expert, but I'd be happy to talk to you about running. I'd like to run a half marathon this year as well. Perhaps we can talk about it over some food at Sonoma.

Yes I forgot to get back to you about that. Since I am already going out to dinner next week, then I don't think next week is a good time to go. Once school starts on the 17th, let me see what my course load is going to be like and we can take it from there.
