Hmm, you didn't mention the gratuitous beating after Krillin's OOC gloating? Eh, I suppose it folds into the Ron the Death Eater trope. I'm not a fan of the doctrine of disproportionate retribution unless the character dishing it out is either on the verge of insanity or actually insane, in which case it becomes IC and interesting.

Then again, as I'm still a sporker, I have strong inclinations towards nitpicking. *shrug*

And I... tend to get strongly annoyed when sweet characters have their characterizations dragged through the mud to woobiefy known jerks, but I honestly can't remember if I used to really care about that pre-Draco Trilogy, or if it's a side effect of, well, Cassandra Claire's writing. But it's not that big an issue here.

Good, even-handed analysis. You really do an impressive job of keeping an even keel throughout the whole thing and both praising what works and gently criticizing what doesn't.

Shit I should have mentioned that, shouldn't I? I'm sorry, it was just getting a little long. You are ABSOLUTELY right. I don't know how far along you are in the story, but there's another incident that happens later on with Goku.

All I will say is that Krillin's the token homophobe in these fics. That's your spoiler.

And I honestly started hating it after I started sporking and realizing that good characters genuinely did exist in works, even if I didn't like them because they interfered with my OTP. Let's just say that I went through with Anzu from Yu-Gi-Oh! what you went through with Richard. That is all.

I'm glad that I'm staying pretty neutral! At the end of the chapter I had to edit it down a little bit once I gave the draft time to sit, but I'm glad I did.
