Back in Britain

I had a great time in Fougeré (not Fougeres, that's somewhere else) - I spent most of my time doing random tasks like mowing lots of lawns, cleaning garden chairs and walking Meg, the farm's gorgeous and very intelligent border collie, and in return was very very well fed!  The lady who owns the farm/B&B is a wonderful cook, and all the meals were ( Read more... )

I did wonder if they were different places, as Fougeres is particularly far west from your previous position, but then I also know what the intercity train service is like (as in, one exists!). I do agree France, as well as everywhere else I've been in general, is a lovely place to visit but a pig to work in (that was a Facebook note, I think) and regardless of what everyone will tell you, I am of the opinion that there's no less bureaucracy, it's just different, and I'd rather stay where I at least vaguely understand where the bureacracy is, even if I don't understand the reasons why ( ... )
