it might be my favorite book i've read for my international women writers class. it takes place in jamaica. pretty dark, and kind of hard to get into at first, but very good. much better than the book we're reading now (the lizard's tail by luisa valenzuela) that i can hardly understand a paragraph of. ugh.

hope all your lit classes are going well/aren't stressing you to death. <3
