Sam, it has been a long time. Like the post, quite an interesting topic. Like the message for happiness and the traps.

But if you will humor me for just a second on a theoretical level, at what point do the decisions you make become your own, and why? I would argue that the only reason you make particular decisions at any point is a combination of learning (a product of environment) and genetic predisposition, neither of which are within your control in the first instance. From the first point a decision is made, you will experience a consequence, which is not within your control and from which you will learn. Actions based on consequences and consequences that lead to action, ad infinitum.
