Drove north to Barleycorn without much trouble, getting out of the house pretty close to 8am thanks to packing most of the stuff the night before (while this is common sense, I'll usually just throw things together the morning of for such a short trip). This wasn't my first earthquake. Don't know how being in the basement (and sitting down) made it different from what others felt, but what I thought at first was that my equilibrium was acting up! It wasn't until 5 or 10 minutes later that I heard what it was. Just hope that the folks I know in DC are all fine ...
