4x10: Weirdness.

So, I haven't done reactionposts for WEEKS, mainly because I was lazy and didn't have much to talk about. I mean, I loved Jenny liek whoa, and Agatha was loads of fun, and Moffat was on top form. Terrifying and brilliant. All in all, a very nice past few weeks.

It could have been so much more. Instead, it was tedious and just left me feeling like that was pretty much totally pointless.

Here's the issue: Either characterize, or don't. Either make the characters people we want to care about, or intentionally leave out their personalities. DON'T do clumsy conversations and then make them mobbish without actually making them people. Also, stop with the "X klicks later" deal. Who cares? Scene-transitions/outside shots can show the passage of time perfectly well. The audience doesn't know what a klick is, so it's kind of pointless.

There was too much mindless shouting and arguing. Maybe it was just me, but it was so overwhelming that I had to pause the video so I could calm down. I actually yelled at the screen for everyone to shut up while covering my ears. Both because it was annoying and because it made the episode drag on.

I like mob mentality. I like people. I like studying and watching people. I like watching mobs. They fascinate me. But in this instance... I was thoroughly bored.

At least next week should be interesting! XD
