When I had to change my mortgage over after the divorce, the same bank wanted $2500-$3000 in fees to put it in my name. Same bank. Same house. Same person. "Well, we have things we have to do." I was prepared to pay something, not $3000 on a loan that was less than that of a new car. Unfortunately for them, the amount remaining was less than what was in my savings account. They got one final check, and some adult words. They will never get my business again. (This was also key bank).
