Oh my goodness! Do you know it's awesome to hear of someone who's had a great year? Only other person I'm aware of who's had a golden year of it has been Andy Murray (/and some people that make me despair at mankind, lol, but Andy's golden.) I'm so chuffed for you. :D

Good luck on job hunt and writing! :D (/I wrote like 1900 words this morning because it had been too darn long since I'd done any creative writing. Damn. Something to do more of next year.)

Happy New Year to you, too. You've been much more prolific than me when it comes to art projects. :) I love the cuddly animal pictures. It makes me want to draw animals as well.

Haha, by the sounds of it, you've had quite a busy year. At least you're still writing/updating fairly frequently. :D

(Hugs) Glad you like the cuddly animals. :3 Animals are hard! (Like Giraffes literally feel like drawing stairs.)

I left IBM and joined a startup, but whether that's good or not depends on how things go for the next couple years, haha. For now I think it's good; it's nice to see things from a different perspective (small business vs huge business) for instance.

I understand: most of my jobs have been in small businesses, and the odd one or two that were business felt very different (although I was still working in small teams.) Strangely enough, the big business jobs always had the biggest moaners/least involved co-workers, then again it could just be that one of those jobs was literally babysitting one-armed bandits for the local drunks to waste their money in, or working in a school that was very cliquey and squeezed for cash... Not that we don't have moaners at my current job, but they certainly have a lot more reason to complain beyond general consumerist neglect of workers happiness. The big disadvantage of small business is effectively security. I hope things go well for you! :D Learning experiences are definitely valuable to have and to look back upon.

Yeah...Well on the bright side it should be possible for me to get a job elsewhere even if this falls through, because demand for software engineers is generally high. I wouldn't like it though. I really want this to work out. Thanks. :>
