This is going to sound weird... I want to write a children's picture book. I really want to leave a piece of my brain for hope to make one child better than the rest.
It's called "The King that isn't there" and the gist is there is a town where the townsfolk rely on the king to do everything, and all they say is 'The king will do it, you just have to want it" Then there is a dam that is breaking and a little kid says "the dam is breaking!" and the townsfolk just say "the king will fix it!" but the king doesn't do anything so the kid goes out and fixes the dam on his own and goes back to the town and says "You don't have to ask the king to do anything! do it yourselves and you'll be rewarded!" and the moral is to not pray because praying doesn't do anything, do it yourself!
Wow! Though you don't need to say the moral, but i think it's pretty blunt. Any story which is not over the borderline? I think i'm not ready to take such responsibility
