It's a bit funny that they mention the lettuce in the sandwich name and not the ham. It might be a cultural sort of difference or whatever, but here it's like the veggies are usually secondary concerns and not included in the name unless it's a veggie sandwich (or a BLT). Though even with veggie sandwiches they won't usually mention the lettuce in the name, even if it has it.
I suppose you missed the point where this is the only sandwich I've noticed sold with lettuce.
Lettuce is also not that common here (cabbage is much more usual), so I think this is the reason.
I agree with your overall point that it's different compared to North America, certainly, but with the above points it's not too surprising. Also, since beef is really expensive here, turkey I've never seen, and chicken in sandwiches tends to be like a breaded chick bisket deep fried thing, I think they can omit obviously point out that it's pork, as that would be the default I'm pretty sure.
