So I'm headed out to OMEG10 this weekend. It's a short international symposium on nuclear astrophysics the beginning of next week. Unluckily, the three big conferences are all going down this year; those being: Nuclei in the Cosmos, International Nuclear Physics Conference, and Origins of Matter and Evolution of Galaxies. Oh god, getting your poster printed at Mac sounds bad.

Not that uwo's thing is any better. I'm not even sure you can print posters here. You might be able to, but I think it's a huge hassle and significantly more expensive than FedEx or the other place. I've printed my posters at the FedEx/Kinkos, well, one here and one when I was in Toronto... they're open weekends and the first time I printed one they printed it for me while I was there (I walked right up, expressed concern about waiting until the next day for pick up, the girl printed off a test page then the real thing, I was done within 20 mins).

Well, I was never terribly impressed with McMaster, but that's another can or worms ( ... )

There was also super ghetto printing in the basement of the life sciences building (I used this for the thesis project course and I think the one astro course that Allison turned into an inquiry class). I've heard that uwo has a similar issue. It really doesn't make sense that they'd have such a shitty deal when it's not beneficial to the school... but then I guess the university doesn't receive the grant money that's being spent on the posters. But did you have to use that place? It seems like the faculty should have been advising against it instead of promoting its use since it's such a pile ( ... )

Well, I only printed one poster at the hospital, obviously. I was asking around, and this was closer than other options, and I was hoping since it was with the school the price might be more reasonable as opposed to even more inflated ( ... )
