ya i totally agree with you ...there is no such thing as being unique...when we had to fill out those things for the senior awards for unique...i couldnt think of one person who is...now a days everything is a trend..it is almost impossible to be unique...another thing that bothers me that everyone is doing now is streching their ears..even people who said they hate them are getting them...what everyone should do is start being them selves and forget what other people think or what the next trend is

you say it gets on your nerves to see people who have it done but maybe thats what poeple thought about you if they saw u with it and they had it first who cares a percing is a percing it doesnt matter how many people have it because youll never be unique in this world too many people live and have lived for someone to be unique.... and just because someone gets it done now oppesed to summer doesnt mean there a copy cat they just like it so poop on that and people change changing is being yourself is you never change youll never grow... love you buddy

personality is what makes a person stand out.
as long as you remember who you are,
you'll always be a beautiful & unique person. *

Sorry I don't usually post on peoples journals I don't know but that just doesn't make sense. You can't stand seeing people because they look like yourself? Its good you mentioned your not saying your a pioneer because I was gonna say thats been coming up for a few years. Don't take this as me attacking your post or yourself. Not at all. And the american eagle/hockey comment. That is fallacious man. They could be saying, if I wanted to be like everyone else I'd grow my hair long and listen to dashboard. (not saying you do or anything, but that style of music ala EMO as its regularly called) ,is like another huge chunk of the people out there, who fall into that catagory. Again. Not taking any personal shots. Hell I have my lip pierced have long hair and can't even fucking stop on skates. I've only had my lip done for about 2 weeks... sorry to cramp your style. Everyone is there one person. Its not about how you look. And again no offense to you at all, just kinda bugged me cause I just had it done.

okay
hockey and american eagle weren't to be taken so literally
i obviously wansn't going to sit here and type out everything that's mainstream.. hockey and american eagle were examples, so people could get the idea that this was something i did to be different.. if i wanted to be the same, i would have never paid the money to get it done in the first place.

my main point:
i didn't get my lip done so that eventually, everybody else would get it done, i got it done to be different. and it seems that being different, is getting increasingly harder.

WELL I figured that, as was my long haired, dashboard comment. Someone would have to be a moron to type all that out. Nobody has that kind of time. I understand your exact idea. I'm just saying... actually not saying, agreeing, being unique is increasingly harder. But man, lip piercings, aren't exactly new. Maybe your friends just liked it and wanted one too. Something probably to be proud of. You know you had it first so whats the deal? It just struck me because I recently got my lip pierced and would never hold back on doing sumthing I'd wanna do because other people already had it. Not to mention no matter how you portray yourself there will always be a shit load of people somewhere that are of the same style. Anyways, you do make a good point.

you make good points too

but my point is...
lets say you had a tattoo of a hippo on your forehead, if you were meet somebody and they really liked it, and went and got it done in the same spot... you'd be pissed off too, because it was something you did to express yourself. the lip piercing thing makes me equally mad.

and a shit load of people somewhere means across the world, not a shit load of people in a fairly small town.
