Scary Stuff

Mar 27, 2006 14:13

I always do my best not to get caught up in conspiracy theories, but after watching the first ten minutes of this, I really got some chills down my spine. Reposted from mayamahal's journal.

I'm still watching it in pieces, since I'm at work...I hope to discuss this with some of you here, if you have time to comment.

Indeed, scary stuff. I don't buy into conspiracy theories either, and I don't know all the facts. But the idea is disturbing.

I didn't watch all of it, only up until the footage of the towers falling. I can happily live the rest of my life without ever having to see that again.

It's totally crazy, and while I'm pretty content to never stick my nose in this kind of conspiracy ever, it does bother me a whole lot to think that the government did this intentionally to psyche the American people into going to war and feeling Patriotic.

My dad is a retired Special Forces Air Force enlistedman, and he was the one that started gently prodding me into asking questions and taking a few closer looks at what was going on with the government investigations of the September 11th, 2001 attacks. When my rational, logical pop tells me to take a closer look, I take a closer look.

I sent him this video after discussing it on the phone with him, and he agreed that he'd heard about most of these facts from various sources. I'll find out what he thinks when he looks at it.

A lot of the facts in this seem to ring true, though I don't necessarily come to the same conclusions. This guy seems to have picked his witnesses very very well, just to prove his theory. However, there's just so much we can't know, so many things that really seem to have been hushed up right after the disaster...How can we not ask questions like this? =P

I certainly don't take this guy at his word...But there are a lot of questions that he brings up that I would love to get answered to my satisfaction. The fact that it's nearly impossible to get any solid information on this makes it tough for me to definitely turn down his theories, which upsets me. I'd like to be able to easily refute all of his claims. But I can't do that with the information available to me.

It's really bothersome, to say the least.
