:( why would you only care if Cal was going?

Did I say that? dailna October 26 2006, 14:55:53 UTC
I care if everyone is going!

The one other, specific, Cal-related thing that I care about is drunken choir fanaticism. Which is something that only she can provide.

Dearest cousin,

You are terribly difficult to get a hold of. And I have no idea if you will read this. But me and my friend are coming to the Western open house day, which is November 18th, and need a place to stay for Friday and Saturday night. I can totally understand if we can't stay at your house, but that would be pretty fab if we could? Also, if we can't do you know of anywhere REALLY cheap we could stay, since this little vacation of ours is costing us a lot.

Looove, Laura

I'm sorry, you totally responded to one of my comments with that request ages ago, and I... definitely forgot about it.

According to me, yes.

According to my housemates, maybe? I will ask them and get back to you ASAP.

Uh, we're also probably going to be having a really dorky party on Saturday night. You'd have to deal with that.

Yeah, don't worry about it.

K, that's awesome. And me and my friend can definetly deal with a dorky party. That's the best kind to be honest.

Hey! dailna October 29 2006, 23:24:12 UTC
Okay, Friend and yourself can definitely stay at my house! Everyone's cool with it.

Only thing is, I have a choir concert on Friday night (in Woodstock), so I'll be getting in around... 9pm Ish? Maybe?

I'm assuming you'll be getting to London earlier? If so, let me know when and I'll provide you with directions, etc.

Are you driving or training or bussing or flying?

Lemme know!

-Erin

PS: There's something called Opera Gala that's happening on Saturday night. (i.e. the students in the Opera program are putting on a showcase of Shakespeare-related Opera & Musical scenes.) A bunch of my friends and I are going if you wanna come with. I can get you tickets.

I can't believe I got a personal mention in an Erin Post!!! Wow. I just found out about the party today. But yes! I'm going. I don't know about drinking; I'm not sure I've recovered properly from last time. But we'll see how I feel on the day. Who am I kidding. I'm going to get nice and drunk. (If someone else is.) Yay. Party.

I want to go to the play, but I have choir. Hey! You (and various housemates) should come over to my house before going to the party. 'Cause it's like, just up the road.

(Holy crap. Even my LJ comments turn into novels.)

Novels are never bad. dailna October 26 2006, 15:03:28 UTC
Speaking of which, I finished "Define Normal" [Awwwwwwwwww] a while ago and... forgot to tell you. I'm brilliant.

Coming to your house pre-party would be really fun. And probably easier for Elizabeth if you guys just bussed there directly after choir. (I don't know if Devon is coming. He might be going out with a friend instead.)

Anyway, I could probably get there around... 10pm. Is that cool?

You procured, read, and finished "Define Normal" and DIDN'T TELL ME?!?!?!?!

Now I really want to read it again. It's been a while. It's the one Julie Anne Peters novel that I read in high school. (It was one of those times where you're on page 9 before you realise you're sitting on the floor in the bookstore and should really buy the book and get out of there because the guy shelving stuff is giving you funny looks.)

For sure. 10:00 sounds fine. I'll talk to you before then. TTYL!

Speaking of Page 9... dailna October 29 2006, 02:56:56 UTC
I finished Between Mom and Jo.

Holy shit. I like... got choked up. But... I was in the back seat of my Stratford carpool. And REALLY didn't want to explain that I was crying because of a young adult book about lesbian moms.

So... I fought the tears. But it took a lot of effort.

I REALLY liked it.

Also, I TOTALLY did that "sitting on the floor in bookstores" thing. If you ever come visit Ottawa again, I'm taking you to my bookstore. It's totally floor-friendly.
