Spider-Man Reboot? Already?!

If you're as big of a movie nut as I am, you've probably already heard the news.  Sam Raimi and the original cast of the Spider-Man films have walked out of the now 'canceled' Spider-Man 4.  There's varying reports on why exactly this happened, but the assumption is that the studio was trying to pressure director Sam Raimi into changing the ( Read more... )

LOL. How random of a spam (and it fails epically)

._. Have you heard they are going to make a "Justice League" Movie, where all the people from the superhero movies are going to play they're "respected heroes". Frankly I wonder if it'll be as good as the other movies... but you know I could be wrong.

Ew, too many Spiderman movies and I think I might wanna croak. >_>

I'm really not sure how they're going to make the Justice League movie work. Film crossovers are generally a big 'no-no'. It may work well in comics, but it doesn't usually work on the big screen. Look at the difference between the critical success of the "Aliens vs. Predetator" comic books as opposed to the flops which were the 'AVP' films. It's a completely different medium.

Who knows, maybe they'll manage to make an amazing Justice League movie. But I doubt it.

What the heck? Didn't they learn from the epic mess that was The Hulk? I mean, it wasn't too long ago.

Next thing you know, people will be "rebooting" Lord of the Rings. Or Harry Potter. I mean, I hope not - as long as they stick with superhero movies and don't mess with my fantasy epics, I can just continue chuckling at the whole thing. :P

I doubt Harry Potter or The Lord of the Rings will be messed with anytime 'soon'. Maybe in another fifteen years the studio will want to give another go with harry Potter, but I'm praying that won't be the case. The Harry Potter series is really precious to me. I don't want anybody else screwing with it.

The Incredible Hulk reboot was pretty bad. Maybe not as bad the original Ang Lee film (which I haven't seen yet), but it was still lame. Hopefully the same fate doesn't befall Spider-Man.

I never actually saw any of the Spiderman movies. D: He's never been my favorite superhero, so I just ignored them.

I want a Static Shock movie. :( It's never gonna happen.

Spider-Man 2 is actually a really good movie, regardless of whether you're a Spidey-fan or not.

Actually, there was a Static Shock film in pre-production a while back. It never ended up making it through the system, but people have tried doing it before.

Ewwwwww, I agree, a reboot so soon? I think I've only seen the first one. Maybe the second. Definitely not the third. But that just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Don't they have -any- original scripts? At all? Seriously? They could have at least gotten another superhero. This is why High School Musical whatever it was and the Hannah Montana movie made it. Because movies aren't good anymore. D:

I'm going back to watching Stargate SG-1. Screw movies.

There are plenty of good movies that have come out over the last ten years. The only problem is that, much like other decades in film, most people won't discover the classics until well after they've been taken out of theatres.
