Consumerism.

So in the past week I've got myself a few new shinies.

The big one? A new computer. Quad core (Q9450), 4 gigs of ram (it even has cooling pipes on it. hey, it was only 5 dollars more!), and a 8800 gts graphics card. Neat mobo, neat case, and a cooling fan the size of god. I got windows vista 64bits - I figured I might as well test out the ( Read more... )

New Mexico is warm... but our rendition of ren faire isn't until the first weekend in November... of course the last few years it's still been sunny enough for a tank top & corresponding sunburn... :P

I'm old and decrepit and never get the fun! I want the fun! I'd invite you here, but I want a nice vacation away from here... somewhere a lot less hot.. or a lot more beachy. I also want a new computer that's all nice and fast and shiny like yours. I'd also like to add that I want someone around to lust after. Nothing new there in that want, but I figured I'd add to the list just in case I hadn't mentioned it in a while. I'm so far out of the loop of everything that I realized I hadn't even checked my email in over a month. WTF? How does that even happen?

Not check email in a month? Technophobe. ;)

Life is busy in that I'm-mostly-doing-things-for-everyone-else-and-not-me sort of way, ya know? Which probably comes as no great shock to you, I'm sure. But, my sister put up one of those above ground mostly-for-playing and not-really-swimming pools in her backyard. I do believe my shoulders and back have seen sun for the first time in.. well.. a lot of years. There's mostly fun in that, even if I still end up taking too many kids to count with me anytime I go. :)

I like shinies. Congrats. I just finished paying off every shiny I've bought since moving here. I hardly know what to do with myself, now - work a lot and save money, I suppose.

Enjoy your shinies! Money's worth nothing if you're not doing something fun with it.
