What's this Quickening series about?

*remembers Fern Gully* Good music :P And just so you know, I had a good chortle over the taunting-of-gay-son-having-no-girlfriend, and the 'mother of the house' and female forms.

XD It is an awesome word I must agree. Now you've got me saying it out loud!

Quickening - fantasy based novel series with three parts. So far it's really good. The main character is a guy called Wyl, army general for one part of the land. Given the rank at a young age just by being born into a certain family. It's hard to really explain all of it. 'The Quickening' is a magical gift/ability given to him when he helps some chick being tortured and burnt at the stake for supposed witchcraft.

XD The son and mother were absolutely hilarious. I took some pics of the artwork on my phone that were around our house. I wish I'd thought to do some at their cottage. So many naked ladies my god.

Heh *salutes back*. My biggest problem is not laughing. I keep wanting to laugh when they're being evil! It must really confuse them when I start grinning whilst repremanding them ;p
