Totally agree about Jack! I used to roll my eyes at him (I'm a Sawyer lover), but I miss the noble, heroic Jack! Plus, what ever happened to the Hippocratic oath, y'know?
I was FIRMLY on the Jack side of the Sawyer/Jack divide, but now I simply adore Sawyer. He has become everything a man should be and has allowed the island to bring out the best in him.
Take the opposite of that sentence and apply it to Jack. :( I totally cannot believe he'd just stand by and do nothing when Kate AND Juliet asked him for help.
Matt and I liked the old Jack too! He didn't always know what the right thing was, but he did his best and just tried to help everyone make it through safely. Or at least, that's what I thought. We do need a Jack episode.
Yes, that's what he used to do. He made mistakes, sure, but he tried his best and his heart was always in the right place. He can be a great leader if he just stops placing so much pressure on himself to be perfect.
It was good, but I would give anything to have another episode like The Constant. That was some of the best television I had ever seen. (And I love Desmond. It may be that Scottish accent.)
I always liked Sawyer. Although I think I would like him better clean shaven (which is is more now) and with shorter hair.
I think this is a long character arc for Jack, and he will be given a chance to redeem himself. He just doesn't know where to go. It's like the island messed up his moral compass.
I love it when Desmond talks, very true! But for some reason he annoys me. I dont' know. He's better now, but for a long time he was just following along, screwing things up with Penny and then getting trapped into doing something that kept him away from her. It was annoying.
I hope you're right about Jack. It doesn't make sense that he'd be the only good character who doesn't get a chance to be redeemed.
