But enough curmudgeonly! There are good news's-es. News is a plural, surely? So what is the plural of news? *

What a delightfully ironic plural to have an aberrant apostrophe in! ;-p

If you look closely it's actually "Plural 's' ", but granted due to the small font that's difficult to see.

That said, I'm one of life's Greengrocers - when in doubt, apostrophe it out!

You want to know about sheeps? It's a strong plural, leftover from Old English, when such things were not so rare. See also ox/oxen, goose/geese, foot/feet etc. Quite why it doesn't change at all, instead of changing randomly in a non-s-adding way, I cannot say, except to mutter 'dialects' at you darkly. This is usually the right answer, somewhere along the line.

Congratulations on your disintegrating ligaments! That is indeed good news, and not in a sarky way. Also on your category-redefining fic, which: WOW!
