I was just reading the journal of someone I know (she seems to have the MOST interesting adventures, I swear!) and she was talking about orgies and swinging. I'm not by any means anti either of those things, and anyone who knows me will know that I am all for sex, sex and more sex.

I guess, I just don't understand the idea of any type of group sex ( Read more... )

gang-bang, orgy, swinging

The way I see it is that my partner isn't a pet, or a possession. He's not "mine". He's just with me, by choice, and that's far more valuable than this feeling that you need to grasp and cling and "own" someone to keep them. What a horrible thought... I feel bad for these women who are so jealous and possessive that they think they need to "own" their partner to stop them wandering away. Imagine feeling, deep down, that the only reason your partner really stayed was because you were policing his every move ( ... )

I didn't mean to come off as offensive, if I did. That wasn't my intent at all, like I said, I'm just interested and wanting to understand what I don't know about ( ... )

Oops, I can come across too strong when I respond to things like this - I didn't think you were being offensive at all! :) In actuality, it was a fascinating read, and it was great fun writing my comment and great fun reading your response too. I love stuff like this: when people actually write journal entries that are about something, something that challenges their readers in some way and opens up a discussion. :)

I'm the same way. Sometimes I say something, and it reads fine in my head because I know what I'm trying to get across, and someone else reads it and is like, "damn lady!" =)

I really love discussions and the like - especially in journals. Reading entries that are - as you said - about something, and replying to those, I think really helps you to learn about and understand other people.
I love getting to know real, deep things about the people that I know, and learning about differences, or hearing them say something, and thinking, 'you know, that's interesting, I've never really thought about it that way before.'
This was fun!
