So I've thought about starting my own blog. It will be completely self-centered. I'm thinking about calling it The Julie Project. Here's why: I have a tendency to like moving from project to project. (Think Pres. Bartlet- "What's next?") I also feel like that I'm on a journey of self-discovery. I'm trying to figure out what I like, what I believe, ( Read more... )

A couple of thoughts:
- Holly made the good point that there was already the Julie/Julia Project, so slightly different name might be better
- I think the idea of blogging is great, so long as you don't worry about the form too much (which it sounds like you aren't). I usually find that "blogging" means, for me at least, a more long winded and edited sort of deal, and I just rarely feel that verbose. But I often feel more verbose than say a FB status or a Tweet. So I end up just keeping my thoughts to myself. There are some sites that are more medium, like maybe tumblr, that might be a good stepping stone up to a full blog. Or not, it's really up to you. I'm just saying don't fixate on the form or technology of your blogging, which is what I usually do.

Today at Gymboree, the theme was frogs, just like yesterday. So Zoë knew the drill. She also knew the drill when it came to getting ink stamps at the end of class. Her teacher put one on her belly yesterday, so Zoë walked up and lifted her shirt. A mom and grandmother, (sooooo unbelievably preppie) joked saying that because Zoë was lifting her shirt she was a wild one. So I joked back and said, "Yup. Next comes the motorcycle and bad boyfriend." I didn't get crickets. I got the barely audible, breathy pity laugh that ushers in the crickets.

But I guess that's what I should expect from a mom who pops her two year old's collar.
