I had lab work done last week. For once, my vitamin D is great. Somehow, taking 1000 units a day worked out. :-P But my thyroid is borderline low. Like, the lowest score you can have and be within normal limits is 0.8, and I have 0.8 low. So we'll repeat the blood work in 3 months.
It's not out of the realm of possibility to have a low thyroid. My ( Read more... )

do you like brazil nuts? They're good for low thryroid, although if you want an accurate test in 3 months it might not be good to eat them.

I'm not sure how many Brazil nuts I've had. Nuts tend to be problematic for me, though. I have a mild allergic reaction to them, (irritated mouth) if I eat too many.

And by too many, I mean more than a handful. Even that can be dicey.

yeah, it's something like 6 a day. selenium is good for the thyroid, so any food that has it will help.
