Sakura Matsuri at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens was awesome this year, flist. I hosted some friends who'd come down from CT and we had a proper Hanami picnic in the park near by building before heading to the festival

Hanami sounds wonderful. We had our season a month-ish ago, but then it was full of rain and wind and they're all half-naked now, yet all the regular trees haven't... leafed (it's too early).
Is salivating. You know what's good? That crushed peanut + sugar mochi with coconut on the outside. They're not hard to make, either. Just need sticky rice flour and a microwave and you can stuff it however you want. Omg, nutella mochi...
Hahaha, the sadness, for me, is more like horrible allergies to a million trees and grass and flowers. It's the only time of year I cry. XD
