I still have that bug - my doctor prescribed Tessalon pearle I think it's called which has helped suppress the cough enough to keep teaching. But I really feel for you - it's nasty, whatever it is.

Have they tried giving you an inhaler and/or prednisone for the cough?

I have a Flownaze sort of thing to spray up my nose at bedtime. Dr. Bob thinks it is compounded by the really bad allergy season we are having. The mold is keeping the system irritated and I, in my secret identity as the Phlegm Queen, am producing lots of the stuff. This is gumming up my passages. My lungs are clear.

Hopefully you start to feel better and get to stay that way for a while - though with kids I know that's unlikely to be longterm.
