Content: James escapes the destroyed convenience store and runs home, meeting Odd on the way. They rush to the cathedral to check on Harry and Walter.

Time of day: A few hours after the attack.

At last, James is pulling himself free of the rubble of the convenience store; how me managed to squeeze through such a tight space is beyond him, but freedom is sweet. Covered in dust and filth, he crawls out onto the cracked streets of Manhattan. Now- now he can see just how bad the destruction is. The sight alone makes him stumble back. If it was bad before...
Now-
"Holy mother of-" No time to waste.
Rarely in his life does James ever feel the need to make haste, he's not exactly much of an athlete, (though this place is turning him into one) but today-
Today he is a sprinter.
Somehow, the rubble and debris in the streets do little to slow him down, scaling heaps of cement just as skillfully as one of the damned crab parasites, scrambling over ruined cars, and shoving his way through buildings all in various states of disrepair. His chest and ribs sting from the effort, but he's running on adrenaline. Exhaustion can wait.
Finally he breaks free of most of the bigger obstacles and only a few blocks stand in his way.
The street itself is... dented in places, here- there- he doesn't think much of it at the moment, but somewhere in the back of his mind, he knows- it's where that thing had stepped...
Harry... Walter...
