She wasn't sure exactly how she'd managed it, but Garnet had somehow or another filled her day quite completely -- a first, since her arrival in Manhattan. First, she spent the morning washing her clothes (and, was praising herself for having had the thought to finally pick up some more pieces when she'd been out to find something for the Masquerade), and now they were dry and put away. The afternoon found her much more quickly than she's expected, and she had gathered up her notes from the night before, and made her way down to the lobby.
Raiel had said that he would be by to pick her up around 2:00; for the rest of the day, she planned to share songs and his company, and while she was out, stop by to check in on Sara, and finally meet Zack. She'd not had such a busy day planned in... months. Since before she fell ill...
Garnet pushed that thought from her mind as she exited the stairwell, into the lobby of the New York Palace Hotel. She wasn't certain exactly how long of a walk it was between the hotels, so she had dressed appropriately for the weather. A long-sleeved, wide-necked, canary yellow sweater, loose and heavy (and if she was honest, a size or so too large for her, but she almost liked it that way), and falling down to her thighs. As had become customary, she wore her knife on her hip. For the purposes of practicality, she'd once again pulled her dark hair back, this time into a ponytail at the base of her neck. Her trusty rubber snow-boots were pulled up, her denim pants tucked in snugly, and her wool coat on her arm, for later. Sitting down in one of the lobby chairs, Garnet looked through her notes, and waited.
