Hamel really missed his Violin. That was the real reason why he was in Bryant Park Hotel, because he wanted to get his Violin back. It wasn't because he couldn't convince himself to go here because he wanted to meet Flute. No, that would be completely un-manly of an excuse. Men could easily solidify their courage, would just burst through the girl's door and tell her exactly how he felt. He was here just to get the very object that held him together, the instrument that gave him life and meaning. He could simply talk to the woman on the way back out if they just happened to pass each other. It wasn't like he was there to talk to her in the first place.
The violinist stood with mild confidence as he waited for the elevator to reach the bottom floor. The same outfit he had been wearing for weeks were quickly replaced with the many copies of his traditional adventure uniform. He may not travel like he normally had for years, but he always felt more at home when wearing them. Besides, a white dress shirt and jeans just didn't match with his hat. With the violin over his shoulder, Hamel watched the lit number slowly count down as it made its way to the ground level. Hopefully there wouldn't be any problems.
