Subthread: Rosa's sickbed stardustprayer September 8 2009, 12:58:24 UTC
Rosa had exhausted herself yesterday; she was well aware of this fact. What she wasn't aware of was the reason why it was affecting her so terribly. She'd never felt this badly in her life. Usually a quick Esuna cured her system of whatever was going on, but it appeared she didn't even have access to that particular spell, let alone the ability to use it.

By the time she woke up, she'd already had a bit of a coughing fit and her entire body ached. Curling up into a ball on the floor, she tried to will her magic to work. Nothing came of it but that she made herself feel worse, if possible. So she let out a soft groan and tried to go back to sleep again.

Riza had only slept in short periods that night. She knew others were standing guard, but Riza's sleeping schedule had never been stable. What made it even worse was the fact that he was on board this ship. He was probably just down the hall, now. He looked human and Riza knew he'd done a lot to help them the other day fight back the guards ( ... )

Rosa was barely paying attention to anything around her, so the sound of footsteps coming nearer and the voice that followed startled her slightly. She pried her eyes open and peered up at the new voice. Her shoulder armor was resting on the floor nearby, or else she'd have stuck herself sometime in the night, and her cape was being used as a blanket.

"All right, I guess," she answered the kind woman who had entered. "I've never been quite this sick before, but it's nothing a little rest can't cure." Or so she hoped anyway.

If he hadn't been tranquilzed the day before, the progress would be much better. At any rate, most people had gotten a bit of sleep, but the clock was ticking until their symptoms would show. The next course of action would be to take control of the bridge and engine room. Along the way, they would need to secure important supplies like food, water, and more ammuniton. He sat on a cot in one of the cells, his legs crossed at the knees, feeling like the entire situation could disintegrate at any moment.

"We'll need separate teams for taking over the engine room, the bridge, the galley, any other supplies that may prove useful, as well as connecting with any other cell blocks there may be. We also need scout teams to locate and prepare the others for any possible obstacles. Obviously, the scout teams must rely on stealth. Once the scouts return, we will better know what to expect when we make our raid upon the ship."

It seemed impossible to Riza that they could do all those things at once. Not with their numbers and certainly not with the number who didn't have the stopgap. Still, she knew none of them just wanted to sit here.

"Scouting won't be a problem as long as we're careful. We should check to see who among us has experiences in the area of stealth and combat, because they are going to be the most effective in this situation. After they come back we can get a better idea of what areas we want to focus on taking," Riza was checking one of her guns as she spoke.

She sighed, putting the gun aside and looking at the young man, "You have a lot of high ambitions...we don't know what they might have waiting for us...they know we're fighting back now."

"Speed is of the essence, I won't argue with that, but we really do need to find out who is truly experienced with combat," came a voice from the doorway of the cell.

Hands on her hips, the small creature had quite a presence. She was not put off at all that almost everyone here was taller than her.

"If there aren't very many, it would not do well to spread them too thin. We must stick together, to gain us this win."

Apparently the Tarutaru had been listening in long enough. While she'd rested a little, she'd soon started wandering about, listening in on the goings on, picking up anything she could about the situation. Then she'd heard this most interesting conversation. She wasn't the type to sit around and let others make decisions without at least giving her opinion.
