CANTRIP TESTIN' TIME bozakcommander September 16 2009, 03:30:17 UTC
Kang had vowed to never again cast a spell after the goblin attack on Maranta's fort. He had found out that the magic hadn't disappeared with the departure of the gods that day, but he had tied his in closely with his faith in Takhisis, like so many other bozaks, that even then, in the fort, he'd needed to leech magic from that damn artifact that the crazy aurak general was using to turn his own people into mindless slaves. He hadn't been able to summon the power himself, due to his broken faith.

The movements of the Tagruato soldiers could be heard, moving closer; they knew that the Manhattanites had gotten ahold of the antidote, and Kang would bet good steel that they'd been ordered to dispose of everyone. He and his fellow captives had proven to be too troublesome.

He'd spent a good portion of the time since he'd received the antidote himself debating, and after grabbing something to eat for breakfast, went on a hunt for Harry. Desperate times called for desperate measures, and truth be told, he had missed the rush of it ( ... )

Harry had an idea for how to throw the enemy into chaos, but first he needed to talk to the right people.

Harry felt better than he had in months, the mystical power inside him humming so strongly he was amazed people couldn't hear it. He was brimming with the power of life itself, and it filled him with a warmth and confidence he had never known he had until it was gone.

Spotting Kang, he raised his hand to the Draconian. "Hey Kang."

"Harry," Kang nodded, smiling. "Just the wizard I wanted to see. I was wondering if you could help me out with something." He knew Harry had a few magical trinkets on him; he could sense the energy coming from them as a tingling in his fingers, much more noticeably than he had before the antidote. What better way to test than with a simple cantrip?

CLASH AGAINST TAGRUATO tagruato_corp September 15 2009, 04:18:10 UTC

It was hard to wake up on the third day of being on this strange ship and not hear the sounds of scuffling in the adjoining halls...it was clear now. Tagruato was not just waiting for them to roll over and give up, they were coming for them.

And Sora was more than ready for them.

Those guarding the perimeters of the Threshold's safe area had reported that heavily-armed Tagurato guards were coming in from the upper deck, sporting their usual weapons plus the smoke bombs that knocked out people's powers for a few hours. The Keybearer figured it was about time he delivered them some much-deserved payback.

Swinging the massive Ultimaweapon over his shoulder as if it weighed nothing, he nodded to the friends beside him. "Come on, let's show these guys who's boss once and for all!"

Freudia had never felt more ready in her life. Eight months of imprisonment had come to this. If Tagruato wanted a fight, they would certainly get one.

Her face steeled, her hair tied back, her dress as impeccable as she could get it, she was more than ready to dispense her elegant death. A puff of visible air in front of her mouth as she exhaled. And a smile. Quiet. Perfect. Prepared.

"I've been waiting for those words since I came here."

She glanced at the people around her. Sora, the earliest friend she'd made who still resided here. Rosette, whom she had met in an ill-fated attempt to wage war on Axel. Goofy, Donald. People she had heard about, but only in relation to Sora. Riku, Rosette's beau. Or so she assumed. And Roxas, who bore a striking resemblance to Sora in appearance and name.

"Let us do this."

Goofy had to admit, standing here beside Sora and Donald and all their friends, Save the King+ gripped firmly in his hand, it all felt like old times again.

Goofy didn't like fighting, and never would. He knew he was going to have to hurt people, which saddened him, and he knew that there was a chance his friends might get hurt, which worried him, but he also knew this was something they had to do.

It was time to stop all the violence, all the hate, all the pain. It was time to save their friends, free the people of Manhattan, and then return to the loved ones they'd all missed so much.

Most of all, though, Goofy knew that with his friends by his side like this, there was nothing they couldn't handle. It was time to show the world just what friendship and light could do.

"Right behind ya Sora!"
