So, I wake up this morning after having a dream about a long ago trip to Florida and some of you amazing people I met there and thought to myself, "Gee, how long has it been since I posted something besides fic on my LJ

Glad to hear that things have turned out well for you. As for updating on what's going on with me... the big things are that I began work on my graduate degree (eventually, and hopefully, an MA in biblical studies) at Trevecca Nazarene University this fall. I'm currently taking one class.
And James and I will be going on a trip to Israel in Feb of 2011. We are so excited it's nearly shameful. ;)
That is super exciting! I've actually grown a lot in my spiritual life in the last year or so, and am even considering going to grad school to become a church deacon at some point. Am still definitely in the prayer stage, but I feel like that may be a road I am eventually called to go down. So glad that things with you are well!
Excellent about the job! (assuming you like it) Insanity seems to be a default state of being, as far as I can tell. Just roll with it. I'm learning to. :-)
Hey, stranger! You're like, the only person who posts less on LJ than I do! :-) Makes me feel better!
But I'm thrilled to hear that you're doing so well. And bonus points for working in the Princess Bride quote! I hope you're able to be more present on LJ. I've missed you!
As for me....well, it's been a rough few months. Knee problems, work problems, depression problems. But one knee is slowly recovering, I'm looking for a new job, and now that I've admitted to having been depressed, I'm making progress in overcoming it. So things are looking up. It goes day to day. Hearing from you more often will help (hint, hint). :-)

The science museum is intensely cute. I do a show for little kids wherein I turn a little girl into a duck. It's adorable.
