Today is a beautiful day and I wish I could be carefree. I wish I could walk around hand in hand with my boyfriend and know that summer will bring me back to my house with my parents and pets. But I suppose wishing is pointless. Because the reality of it is that my boyfriend is sick, my parents are dead and I truely am homeless

Amanda, here's where I get really cheesy and everything but say what I need to say. I don't know Mike, but I've known you for quite a while and if you're dating him, then he can't be so bad...although you did date Steve ;-) just kidding...i love steve. anyways, reading your journal and your away messages and everything...really makes me think about my life. you're such an inspiration for me, i don't know if i would be as strong as you are. i know that everything will work out for the best for both of you, because your love IS amazing. Trust me, I know what it's like to want to be with someone but know you can't for reasons that you cannot change. You'll get through this though, don't worry. Our band chaplain was talking to us during band camp at mass about relationships and there's something that he said that I'll never forget. He was referring to relationships in general and romantic ones as well, and he said that if you don't have problems along the way and work through them, the relationship will not last. Being able to
